Joy Centre for Education began offering child sponsorship in 2011.
What is the cost to sponsor a child?
It costs $150 AUD per term to sponsor a child. This can be paid per term or as a yearly payment of $450 AUD.
How do I get information about a child I sponsor?
Upon sponsoring a child you will receive a photo and some basic information. During our visits to Wasswa we are usually able to interact with sponsored children and provide updates to you as a sponsor.
What does my sponsorship provide?
A sponsored child has the opportunity to go to school where they receive breakfast and lunch each school day. Sponsorship also provides scholastic materials, school uniform, sports uniform, and shoes.
How long does sponsorship run for?
Schooling at Joy School finishes at P.7 however you may be able to continue sponsoring your child through secondary school and beyond.
Can I send my sponsored child gifts?
Please feel free to express your care for your sponsored child by sending an extra financial gift. The funds you give may be used to buy a gift for your sponsored child or provide something to benefit the whole family. e.g. goat, groceries.
